Terrifying Toy Tuesday!

Meet Terrifying Ted

He's a little great mouse cat toy that squeaks when he is batted or dropped.
Mum thought he might make a nice addition to our toy basket, so she purchased him. Only trouble is we're all terrified of him.

We don't like the smell of him or the squeaky sound he makes.

UGH! HELP! HE'S ATTACKING ME!

DIE TED! DIE!!!

Wordy Wednesday

We're sorry, yes we're truly sorry. We can only but apologise for the recent lack of posting and commenting on blogs.

This is because The Mum has been 'busy' and pursuing 'other interests', excuses, excuses!

Apparently Pre-schoolbean Amy will officially non longer be a Pre-schoolbean in January, as she will be starting big school. The Mum says that she has been 'busy' getting things ready for her move from Nursery into Infant School. Pah!

Also Christmas and the coming thereof seems to be taking up a lot of The Mum's time. Time if you ask us, that could be better spent blogging and visiting all our friends. Bah!

Then, most disturbingly, she seems to have developed a rather irritating habit of having 'other interests' such a photography (not of us, can you believe it?), writing fictional stories and poems and reading. We do not understand it as all these 'other interests' could be more than fulfilled simply by blogging for us. What more does the woman want?

The Mum:

I am really sorry that you feel this way and yes I would be the first to admit that I have let the blogging side of things slide recently, but come on. How do you expect me to blog anything of any interest when all you do is sleep all the time and when you're not sleeping you're all off out somewhere? Blogging is a two way thing, you know. You actually have to DO stuff for me to blog about.

That is none of our concern! You're the creative genius around here, so get creative!

Terrific Tache Tuesday

We at The Paw Relations are very supportive of Cancer Awareness and as such we would like to show our support for Movember, in aid of Prostate Cancer.

During the month of November men are encouraged to gain sponsorship for growing a moustache. This helps by not only raising money for an extremely worthwhile cause but also helps in raising awareness of Cancers that can affect the male population. Cancer is not selective and can effect the lives of anyone, anywhere. We think it's about time we showed Cancer who's the boss around here.

Dulce et Decorum est Pro Patria Mori

Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs.
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep.
Many had lost their boots but limped on, blood-shod.
All went lame; all blind; Drunk with fatigue
Deaf even to the hoots Of tired, outstripped Five-Nines that dropped behind.

Gas! Gas! Quick, boys! – An ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling,
And floundering like a man in fire or lime
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.
In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.

If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil's sick of sin; I
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,

The old Lie; Dulce et Decorum est Pro Patria Mori.

Tattle-Tail Tuesday!

I'm here to tattle-tell you that The Mum couldn't think of anything to blog about this morning and that displeases me greatly. Look! I'm displeased.

The Mum better start coming up with some good blogging ideas or I'm afraid we're just going to have the let her go.

Mancat Monday Meetings

Being that there are two, very handsome if we do say so ourselves, Mancats about this house we sometimes have to have meetings. It's always good to make sure you're both caterwauling from the same song sheet as it were.

Trouble is these meetings can be sooooo boring!

What's the first item of business on the agenda?

Saturday Stand Off

Yesterday morning mum heard a lot of cat shouting and swearing going on in the backyard. She thought, 'oh no, Charlie's smackypawing his sister about again.' As if I would! Picture of innocence me. When she opened the blind this was the scene that confronted her.

Yes that's me at the bottom of the fence and that's Fat Pat the Introoder at the top of the fence.

(The Mum apologises for the quality of the photograph, but it was taken through a window that very clearly needs a wash).

I can tell you I was giving him a right tongue lashing for daring to soil my fence with his stinkiness. Of course I didn't climb up the fence to tell him that to his face, he's bigger then me and I'm not that stupid. We stayed like that for a while before Shen came out to investigate all the noise and Fat Pat scarpered. Wimp!

Funny Friday - Guy Fawkes Night

I'm in the Cat Nip Toybox and you're not!

PFFFFFFFFFFFT!

Today is Guy Fawkes Night in Great Britain. A time when we celebrate the failure of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when Guy Fawkes and other conspirators attempted to assassinate the King James I, by burning effigies on bonfires and lighting fireworks. Read more about Guy Fawkes Night here.

Mancat Monday - On The Look Out

One of the most important jobs as Mancat about the house, is to be on the look out for introoders. Be they bird, dog or cat.

As some of you know we've recently been experiencing some difficulties with a rather persistent introoder, as you can see here and here. He seems intent on wooing my sister Lola, but Lola is spoken for and not interested. Can't the guy take a hint?

Anyway, I take my job as introoder control very seriously. You won't catch me hiding behind the bin. What? That wasn't me, it just looked like me. Whatever!
